Bellylaughs izzzz Back!!!

So...you probably noticed ah..there hasn't been posts goin on here for umm..about 31/2 months or so. Well what happen is....well Summer happened. Bringin two more people into the household for the girls SUMMER vacation to begin with. Summer was packed and full of fun, but it's just to hard to sit down and blog about it while your in the middle of it. With the month of September and the excitement of School starting, I finally begin to look back and and go hewwww...wow what all went on this summer, and it's fun to look back on pics and such in all the fun our family along with our friends did.

It's fun bloggin ;but I really just keep on this to keep our family and friends who live miles away or we just are not in touch with on a day to day basis in touch with our family and what goes on in our lives...I really enjoy reading all the blogs out there, it assures me that yes, I'm a mother, but still a woman and their lives are crazy and unbearable at times; just like mine. So yep we are back, or shall I say I'm back.

Ohhh..TIME is going waaayyy...TO FAST!!

I just received a call from the school district to start setting up Registration for Ben next year in their Preschool program ( it will be helping him out with his speech a little bit). Any hoo..I asked"now do we come and spend a little time with him on the first few times, to get him use to his new enviorment. She said "oh, first few days...maybe 5 or 10 minutes, and then he should be fine. Her next question being "Now you plan on him taking the bus to and from pre-school don't you" as if it was just a given. My response was "well ahhh...NO!! " I can bring him and pick him up. Her response "Oh...well the kids really love the bus, and it helps them adapt really well"

I understand her point, but hey I'm not ready to let someone take off with my child on a school bus, and me be totally out of any control in this situation. Ugg..it just gives me a VERY sick feeling to even think about that...Now to many of you, maybe no biggee, but since I have a daycare of my own, Ben has only been with me, and in my daycare enviorment. So...I'm just freakin out about this whole bus thing. I AM JUST NOT READY FOR ALL OF THIS YET. I STILL NEED AND WANT CONTROL!!! And frankly can't think about school and letting him go yet. He's still my little baby in which I am holding and keeping him from any harm or any scariness he may be feeling.

I never realized how him growing up was going to have such an impact on me...I was sitting and thinking the other day about the things he use to do, and the faces and gestures he use to make. It's gettin harder to remember when he was so young...I wish I could remember every little thing. I wish my memories were more vivid, because I am not ready to let go of my little baby yet...

I know my post is long and drawn out...I'm feeling a little blue about all this. It's just a new stepping stone, and I'm sure it will be an exciting adventure for all of us...I just wish it would sloooowww down!

This AGE thing...really SUCKS!!!!

We are now experiencing our 4th day of Weather Bliss here in thee old NW. It has actually started getting a little uncomfortable for my taste. Upper 80's or so...

I run to GI Joes sporting Goods this morning to find a cover tent for the back deck, to relieve us all out in the sun while still enjoying it's warmth, but not with it feeling like Africa...I am pulling down a down a tarp thingy...which is only 40 lbs or so..but awkward in it's long box. It falls...almost on my foot, with a big bang. A sales guy walks by, down the isle...here's this is going on, but fails to stop and ask if I need help. So I struggle to the front with this friggin box, and pay for it.

I say to the young girl, whom probably was 20 or 21. "Hey, may I please have some help out with this tent, it's kindof heavy and probably hard getting it up into our truck...she continues to ring me up, I'm thinking are you gonna call anyone up to help me out, or maybe you didn't hear me. She finishes the transaction...her boss walks over and she say's "I'm gonna help this lady out to her car with this box. She proceeds to walk out the doors carrying it, and lifts it with ease into my car as if...as if it's mearly just a feather...

At that point I'm thinking what the heck has happened to me...I should have just walked this thing out myself, if she can do it...so can I. Standing there I felt like a frale little old woman, and really didn't want to come to grips with my age... I bet she was also out alll....nite, came into work with 2 hours of sleep, and able to go out tonite and do it all over again.... Unlike me whom was in bed by 10 completely exhausted. Really...this age thing completely SUCKS!!!!

Have a Great Mother's Day WEEKEND!!!

Yes, the posts have been few and far between; so sorry about that, guess I'm feeling a bit over loaded, and am taking a break for a bit. The weather is Fabulous, the flowers are gorgeous, and our family is heading off to Mommy and Me @the Zoo tommorrow. Should be lots of fun, cuz our little man is really starting to get into the animals and big SOUNDS they make. I'm looking forward to taking lots of neat pictures...

I wish all of you a Wonderful Mother's WEEKEND ; not day, because one day is much to short to honor such a beautiful thing as a MOM. And lavish in the luckiness I feel to have such a wonderful life and great family to spend it with.

So... ENJOY whatever you may be doing. The zoo, planting flowers, brunch, camping or whatever you wish, and remember how lucky we are to be in this moment....

Oh, to the Ladies Whom Love to Wear da Sandles!!!

Okay, it's almost SUUUUMMMMMEEER...at least here in the Great Northwest. I have been extremely busy this past few daaays, and really can't seem to sit down and write this week. This email came thru to me, so...I thought I'd pass it along. Thought it was kinda funny. Whoo hoo for the sunny days ahead of flipflops and shorts...

Alright ladies, it's that time of year "oncest" again!!! I think we

I Couldn't Resist...

Here's Ben at the Puyallup Spring Fair...He was deathly afraid of the Carousel last year, but seemed to really Enjoy himself this year on the Horsey.

It Boggles My Mind...

Nothing is more freightening than being woke up in the middle of the Nite by your 21/2 year old son crying his eyes out. Only to walk over to his bed, and try to comfort him, to find him burning up with a fever, and drenched in sweat.

Within 1 minute I already had the bath going and Ben out of Bed half undressed, ready to put him in the tub, while my hubby was still getting his wits about him, trying to focus on the situation. (That is why us ladies are mommies) reaction time may be a little quicker.

Tried to get him in the bath; he wasn't having it, so...a cool cloth around his neck, and on his head had to do..

Soon he had calmed down, and layed back in his bed quietly, while I tried to get tylenol liquid down him. He just layed there like a baby bird letting me put it in his mouth. ( I knew he was in bad shape, because it's usually a wrestling match only to get a few drops down his throat, and the rest of it all over him and I both, and any other thing or person close by.)

Rubbing his forhead for a short time, he was sound asleep, and slept for the next 3 hours. I on the other hand could not fall back to sleep, still worrying about his condition. He finally woke up around 8am stood up in bed, and was very chatty and all smiles. What the heck....I will never understand the illnesses children endure...it totally boggles my mind. (BIG YAWN...)

Quirky

So..here are 6 quirky or unique facts about our family; compliments of www.poopydigs.com that make our family, well make our family just us...here goes:

1. My husband is the cookiest man I know, and he really floors me sometimes, with the things that come out of his mouth.

2. Our cats still rule the roost even after Ben was born; now the cats have him scooting over in his bed to make room for them.

3. I can never let Ben go to bed with pajamas that don't match.(My husband just pulls the first thing out, top and bottom, they don't have to go togather, me I have to make it right, is that obsessive, Yep I know, can't help it.)

4. We all love to put peanutbutter on pieces of chocolate, instead of buying a reese's peanutbutter cup(just not the same.)

5. I now cannot fall asleep without my son snuggling with me at least for a little while. ( he gives me big hugs, and pats me on the back, ending with a huge kiss) it melts me. And is the greatest ending to the day....

6. My husband loves to shop more than me. (seriously)

More Wine...with that Whining???

Well the homefront has been pretty quiet this week, except....for the CONSTANT whining rolling out my most adorable little boys mouth. I keep telling myself this will pass, this will pass, this will pass. WILL IT????? He is talking a little bit now, but whatever words he is saying has a whine to it.

I know that every parent has this problem with their little one's at one time or another, but dear god, by the end of the day, that one last word (along with the whine) goes thru me, and I want to hit the ceiling, and grab the closest alcoholic beverage, and consume it ALLLLL...because that will help right. Just drowning out the problem instead of resolving it.

I have tried the logic with him like.. Ben, if you whine it to me I cannot understand you. Or..Ben I will not listen to you when your whining. Ahh, logic and a 2 year old, nope not happpening as of yet. Oh how I do love my little guy, but I'm going Crazy.

They say the 3's are better, "Is that a nice way of saying just more challenging???

The Irony of all this....is that I could feel myself whining as I was telling you all my problems. Ugggg!!!

Such is life....Happy HUMP Day

Papa Bear has a New Job..

Well at least a part time one. My husband has now been crowned the New Grocery shopper of the household...We made a deal the other day. You see in the past few months Mama Bear has not been to keen on the whole idea of cooking. I don't know what it is I really am in a slump when it comes to the kitchen and what should be going on in there.(ahh...come on you all know how I feel)Well anyway, we have been eating out quite a bit, and both of us know that really needs to stop.

I guess after going to the grocery store, unloading the sacks, unpacking the contents of millions of plastic bags, the last thing I want to do is cook the stuff. So..hubby has said he will do the shopping and unload and unpack if I keep up the cooking duty. May seem like a trivial trade; but I actually have been quite into it, and am starting to come around on the cooking thing. Emeril would still be the ultimate trade, but I have to live within my means....

Yeaahhh...Mariners WIN

So what a great day it was. Wednesday afternoon, sun is shining and we head out to the our First Seattle Mariner game of the Season. I must say for Ben only being 21/2, he sat through that entire game. He is totallly...in love with Baseball, and cannot get enough.

Not only is he a big fan at the game. Our TV has been tuned to the Fox Sports channel for the last 5 nites, and Ben won't let us turn it off....

Hmmm...future Player or future sports TV freak. Lets hope Player. I'm sure those front row seats won't be ours forever, we will need a new shoe in sooner or later, to watch our boy out on the FIELD!!!

I totallly...can relate!!!

Something I received in an email.....which I'm sure can describe most of US to a tee!!!

Mom and Dad were watching TV when
Mom said, "I'm tired, and it's getting late.
I think I'll go to bed."

So she went to the kitchen to make
sandwiches for the next day's lunches,
Rinsed out the popcorn bowls, took
meat out of the freezer for supper
the following evening,
She filled the sugar container, put
spoons and bowls on the table and
started the coffee pot for brewing
the next morning.

She then put some wet clothes in
the dryer, put a load of clothes into
the washer, ironed a shirt and
secured a loose button.
She picked up the game pieces left
on the table, put the phone back on
the charger and put the telephone
book into the drawer.
She watered the plants,
she yawned and stretched and
headed for the bedroom.
She stopped by the desk and
wrote a note to the teacher,
counted out some cash for the
field trip, and pulled a text book
out from hiding under the chair.
She signed a birthday card for a
friend, addressed and stamped the
envelope and wrote a quick note
for the grocery store
She put both near her purse.
Mom then washed her face with
3 in 1 cleanser, put on her night
solution & age fighting moisturizer,
brushed and flossed her teeth and
filed her nails.
Dad called out, "I thought you were going to
bed."
"I'm on my way," she said.
She put some water into the dog's
dish and put the cat outside, then
made sure the doors were locked
and the patio light was on.
She looked in on each of the kids and
turned out their bedside lamps and
TV's, hung up a shirt, threw some
dirty socks into the hamper, and
had a brief conversation with the
one up still doing homework.

She laid out clothing for the next day,
straightened up the shoe rack.
She added three things to her 6
most important things to do list.

She said her prayers, and visualized
the accomplishment of her goals.
About that time, Dad turned off the
TV and announced to no one in
particular. "I'm going to bed.">
And he did...without another thought.
Anything extraordinary here?

Wonder why women live longer...?
'CAUSE THEY ARE MADE FOR THE LONG HAUL......
(and they can't die because they still have things to do)

Send this to five phenomenal women today...
they'll love you for it!

Then: GO TO BED

From the mouth's of...BABES!!!

The Way Children See Things!
(an email sent to me recently)

Nudity

I was driving with my three young children one warm summer evening when
a Woman in the convertible ahead of us stood up and waved. She was stark
naked! As I was reeling from the shock, I heard my 5-year-old shout
from the back seat, "Mom! That lady isn't wearing a seat belt!

Honesty

My son Zachary, 4, came screaming out of the bathroom to tell me he'd
dropped his toothbrush in the toilet. So I fished it out and threw it
in the garbage. Zachary stood there thinking for a moment, then ran to my
bathroom and came out with my toothbrush. He held it up and said with a charming
little smile, "We better throw this one out too then, 'cause it fell in
the toilet a few days ago.

Opinions

On the first day of school, a first-grader handed his teacher a Note
from his mother. The note read, "The opinions expressed by this child are
not necessarily those of his parents."

Ketchup

A woman was trying hard to get the ketchup to come out of the jar.
During her struggle the phone rang so she asked her 4-year-old daughter to
answer the phone. "It's the minister, Mommy," the child said to her mother.
Then she added, "Mommy can't come to the phone to talk to you right now.
She's hitting the bottle."

More Nudity

A little boy got lost at the YMCA and found himself in the women's
locker room. When he was spotted, the room burst into shrieks, with ladies
grabbing towels and running for cover. The little boy watched in amazement and
then asked, "What's the matter haven't you ever seen a little boy before?"

Elderly

While working for an organization that delivers lunches to elderly
shut-ins, I used to take my 4-year-old daughter on my afternoon rounds. The
various appliances of old age, particularly the canes, walkers and wheelchairs,
unfailingly intrigued her. One day I found her staring at a pair of
false teeth soaking in a glass. As I braced myself for the inevitable barrage
of questions, she merely turned and whispered, "The tooth fairy will never
believe this!"

Dress Up

A little girl was watching her parents dress for a party. When she saw
her dad donning his tuxedo, she warned, "Daddy, you shouldn't wear that
suit." "And why not, darling?" "You know that it always gives you a headache
the next morning."

Death

While walking along the sidewalk in front of his church, our minister
heard the intoning of a prayer that nearly made his collar wilt. Apparently,
his 5-year-old son and his playmates had found a dead robin. Feeling that
proper burial should be performed, they had secured a small box and cotton
batting, then dug a hole and made ready for the disposal of the deceased. The
minister's son was chosen to say the appropriate prayers and with
sonorous dignity intoned his version of what he thought his Father always said:
"Glory be unto the Faaaather, and unto the Sonnn ... and into the hole
he gooooes."

School

A little girl had just finished her first week of school. "I'm just
wasting my time," she said to her mother. "I can't read, I can't write and they
won't let me talk!"

Bible

A little boy opened the big family bible. He was fascinated as he
fingered through the old pages. Suddenly, something fell out of the Bible. He
picked up the object and looked at it. What he saw was an old leaf that had
been pressed in between the pages. "Mama, look what I found", the boy called
out." What have you got there, dear?" With astonishment in the young
boy's voice, he answered, "I think it's Adam's underwear!"

Rockin the House!!!!!

I just had to give a little shout out to my nephew Micheal whom is 13 years old. Our whole family went to go see him perform at his junior high's Talent Show last nite.
He entered in the contest playing the drums; and let me just say "He Rocked". He was one of the last kids to perform at the end of the show, and what a show of Talent he displayed. He played his own arrangement, and totally "ROCKED THE HOUSE" He had the whole place hollaring and clapping along. And to complete his nite of glory, he won the contest WHHOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!

Anyway we just wanted to give him another round of applause, and say "Well done kiddo,YOU ROCKED!!!" And keep up the fantastic talent, you should be very proud of yourself!!!

Horribe Movie Flick

So.. I settle everyone down to bed last nite, really geared up to finally get to watch a movie all by myself without ANY interruptions.So...curled up on the couch, pop the movie into the DVD player (I had rented almost a week ago, that's sometimes how long they sit before I even actually get around to watchin em.)

Now I had heard great things about this movie, it's an artsy flick not really generated out into the huge theatres for all to see. The movie PLEEAAASSEE...The squid and the Whale. Oh it started out disturbing, and just kept getting worse. Hey maybe that was the intent of the whole thing.

I guess my whole outl0ok on movies has changed, I want to be entertained if I am going to use my quiet time card, meaning without hubby or kid, I really need to be dazzled.

To me, this is my opinion only, I was not entertained. I don't need to watch a movie with such disfunction, it creeps me out. Really, don't we see enough of that in real life, hmmm...really, right before our eyes everday in some shape or form. Well it had good reviews, so... maybe some people just can't get enough. I'm good thankyou.... Bad,Bad,Bad Movie

Shhhh...I'm trying to sleep

So I woke up this morning feeling...well not to rested. Have you ever had one of those nites where you had been dreaming allll...nite??? That was me, from the time I layed my very sleepy head down last nite until this morning when my eyes popped open, I have been running a muck in my head, and now I'm not feeling to refreshed, and can't remeber a damn thing that happened.

8 Hours, yes 8 hours of sleep(Ben has been sleeping with no interruptions for the past few weeks, hence mommy has really enjoyed an all nite slumber) and notta one account of my busy evening in my head.

I really could have some juicy love stories to tell if only my dreams had been vived enough(damn) well I will just keep dreaming and hopeing I am having some slutty hot romance with hmmm...I'll just leave it at that for now....

It just feels right...

So, for the few of you who read my blog, you've noticed I have decided to go with a different title. After much thought, and a some help from a friend who also is a fellow blogger, my blog title I think is just much more appropriate for the content in which my blog petrudes.

I am forever laughing at something, weather it be my son, husband or my friends. Also sitting down in the morning with my cup of joe, and wandering thur my daily blogs I love to read,to give a good laugh and a big boost for the day.

I laugh alot, and I hope that comes out in my writings of my life, of love, kids, animals and everyday life. I sometimes have to remind myself to maybe laugh abit more, and stop sweating the small things, my hair wouldn't be so gray, and the lines may slow down abit on my face. When I'm old and gray I really want the laugh lines of my face tell my story.... and not so much the stressful ones.

Laundry...is finally Done

So...I started doing laundry hmm..I think last thursday, and I would throw it on spare bed in Ben's room, and fold as I could. We now have a new use for Ben's changing table, can you guess?? It's the new place the clothes stay stacked ,once folded. Instead of Alan, or I getting a stack and just putting it away, well we have been pulling from the folded stack in Ben's room for the past week.

I know Alan's out of boxers, and I'm sure other articles of clothing, when I see him running around in spongebob boxers, he NEVER wears. How can this be, all he would have to do is get his clothes off the table and put them away. Good god, the laziness is absolutlely insane. I clean, dry and fold them. Ummm...how hard is it to stick it in a closet. Well, apparently it's very HARD. A little help please, PLEASE!!! Well I finally had had it, and I was up at the crack of dawn putting about, oh I'm really not sure, probably 20 loads or something , of clothes away. LAUNDRY IS DONE., till tommorrow

That is my bitch for the week...

Ben's Bowling Adventures

So the whole family went to our first bowling Birthday Party last Sat. Ben did pretty well, and loved the whole thing about throwing this heavy ball, and letting it bang into something. He didn't quite understand the whole waiting his turn thing, but he's a bit like his mommy, ummm..impatient. He bowled an 84, with the help of his daddy, and siderails, but not to bad for the little guys first time.
Mommy, well she sucked. She had no help from daddy or siderails and bowled a whopping 50 on the first, and 34 on the second game. Honestly I really never bowled when I was younger, until I was old enough to drink, and the bowling scene was cool, with your pitcher of beer, and good friends.
I must say, the beer helped me out, and I actually bowled so well, I could have been on a league. Oh, wait was that me being dillusional, (from the beer) THINKING I was awesome, me thinks so...

A Walk in the Clouds...

So...the last few days have been like a daze for me. I thought oh, we all have those days when we are just so tired we could fall asleep standing up (ya know, the feeling you get when the baby has been up all nite, crying for something, to be fed, tooth coming in, stuffy nose, puking every hour or so. Ah...is it coming back to ya) Well that's how I have been the last few days, only it was not from sleepless nites.

To tell you the truth I thought it was just me, and my body saying, get up and run on the tredmill lazy bones, you need to get your blood pumping. But I had no energy to even get my shoes on.

Last nite it really was all I could do to make it through eating dinner, without laying in it. I was on the floor playing with Ben while he watched a little bit of wiggles last nite, the next thing I know, I wake up to Ben kissing my nose, and saying Mooooommmmmyyy. Alan yells in from computer "Barb you alright?" Like how long was I out for, and he's just checking on me now, what if I needed medical attention. It would have needed to wait until he had reponded to all his email. Uggg...good thing it was just needing sleep.

We all hit the bed about 8:30, my god, how pathetic. I was thinking how in the world am I gonna make it through another day like this. On top of that my stomach had been aching with some gross acid crap, which I take medicine for sometimes, actually had been taking it for the last few days. ( Remember when we were young, meaning our early twenties, and a asprin and beer cured whatever was aling us , good-bye to THAT.)

Well on with the story I got up this morning feeling just as tired, maybe a bit rested, and got into the cubbards for my tummy meds, and decided to take a look at the pill bottle, for some foolish reason.

Eureka, I had been taking allergy medication, which I only take once and while, and at bedtime, Cuz it makes me DROWSY!!!!!!! Oh, how I've enjoyed my little walk in the clouds, but glad to be back on earth....

Reminder to self:" Read the damn bottles of medication before popping them in your mouth, You IDIOT!!!"

HAPPY 1ST DAY OF SPRING !!!!!

Wow, waking up this morning to frost all over the ground, and thick on the cars, it's hard to believe...it's the first day of spring.

As the day has gone on the sun has been shining and...it's been an absolute fabulous day out there. Looking out you want to slip into your flip-flops and shorts, and curl up on the grass with a good book and something yummy to drink, ahhh...not quite so fast it's really just a balmy 55 degrees, yet the numbers keep going on up, and swimsuit weather is not far off, UGGGG!!!

HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY

Get your GREEN on, kick back and RELAX, it's FRIDAY....and have a yerself a BEER!!!!(You deserve
it)

AND NOW FOR A FEW FUNNIES:

Paddy was driving down the street in a sweat because he had an important meeting and couldn't find a parking place. Looking up to heaven he said, "Lord take pity on me. If you find me a parking place I will go to Mass every Sunday for the rest of me life and give up drinkin me Irish Whiskey".

Miraculously, a parking place appeared.

Paddy looked up again and said, "Never mind, I just found one."

Paddy was in New York He was patiently waiting, and watching the traffic cop on a busy street crossing. The cop stopped the flow of traffic and shouted, "Okay pedestrians". Then he'd allow the traffic to pass.

He'd done this several times, and Paddy still stood on the sidewalk.

After the cop had shouted "Pedestrians" for the tenth time, Paddy went over to him and said, "Is it not about time ye let the Catholics across?"

Finally....Something good for my Soul!!!

So...I'm feeling much better today. Driving home the other day from picking up children, we were listening to 103.7 The Mountain, an awesome song comes on by woman artist by the name of K.T. Tunstall. Maybe you've heard of her, come to find out she's been around with an album since 2004, but it was my first time hearing her. Reminds me alot of Shawn Colvin, only she's got alot more soul to her, she actually really ROCKS!!!

Found her CD yesterday Kalidescope. It's Awesome!! I don't come across to many cd's I like all of, but this one certainly did. While giving a bath to Ben last nite, we had it on. He was busy playing with all of his tub things, then this one song comes on "Black Horse" and he stands up, starts shakin his booty and rockin out....He had me laughing so hard. And that's all it took for me to have a fulll out BELLYLAUGH to make things all good in the world.

THANK GOD FOR MUSIC....TO ALL THE MUSICAL ARTISTS OUT THERE....KEEP ROCKIN, SO I CAN KEEP SMILIN!!!

I must be sending out vibes...do ya think???

I really must have it bad this month; people keep sending me little jokes here and there about hormones and PMS via email. The question is, are those jokes to make me laugh, or....get me to wake the F@#$ up, and snap out of it. Hmmmmm....I dare someone to respond, just kindin ya, I love all my friends and I'm sorry if I've been a total B@#*@ this week. Thought this joke was especially CUTE!!!!!

Hormones

The Hormone Hostage knows that there are days in the month when all a
man has to do is open his mouth and he takes his very life into his own hands! This is a handy guide that should be as common as a driver's license in the wallet of every husband, boyfriend, or significant other!!

DANGEROUS: What's for dinner?
SAFER:May I help you with dinner?
SAFEST: Where would you like to go for dinner?
ULTRASAFE: Here, have some chocolate.

DANGEROUS: Are you wearing that?
SAFER: Gee, you look good in brown.
SAFEST: WOW! Look at you!
ULTRASAFE: Here, have some chocolate.

DANGEROUS: What are you so worked up about?
SAFER: What did I do wrong?
SAFEST: Here's fifty dollars.
ULTRASAFE: Here, have some chocolate.

DANGEROUS: Should you be eating that?
SAFER: You know, there are a lot of apples left.
SAFEST:May I get you a glass of wine with that?
ULTRASAFE: Here, have some chocolate.

DANGEROUS: What did you do all day?
SAFER: I hope you didn't overdo it today.
SAFEST: I've always loved you in that robe!
ULTRASAFE: Here, have some more chocolate.

13 Things PMS Stands For:
1. Pass My Shotgun
2. Psychotic Mood Shift
3. Perpetual Munching Spree
4. Puffy Mid-Section
5. People Make me Sick
6. Provide Me with Sweets
7. Pardon My Sobbing
8. Pimples May Surface
9. Pass My Sweatpants
10. Plainly; Men Suck
11. Pack My Stuff........And my favorite one...
12. Potential Murder Suspect

Pass this onto all of your hormonal friends and those who might need a good laugh! Or men who need a warning! And remember: Money talks...but chocolate sings.

Another thing to giggle about... My husband, not happy with my mood swings, bought me a mood ring the other day so he would be able to monitor my moods. When I'm in a good mood, it turns green. When I'm in a bad mood, it leaves a big red mark on his forehead. Maybe next time he'll buy me diamonds. Here, have some chocolate.

Live Well, Love Much, Laugh Often

Hypocrite, ahhh...maybe

So...this act of being a hypocrite may still be steming from yesterday's post.

Ben and I woke up this morning, he usually wants some cereal and milk, when he first wakes up. So, I get that for him, but no not today, he runs to the kitchen pointing and exclaiming he would like something in the cabinet. I open it, and he points to the Nemo fruit snack. Now for most of you who have kids, a fruit snack is really not fruit at all, but a great cover for pure sugar in this very cute disquised animal shape. I was not going to give him that first thing in the morning, so..I offered a banana, some toast, different cereal, anything but the fruit snack. He finally gave up after much whining (which I really don't deal very well with at 6am) but I stuck to my guns.

About an hour later, I was searching in my purse for some chapstick, and came across a wonderful wrapped piece of heaven, at least for me at this time it was perfect....

So...guess what mean mommy had for breakfast???? She really was thinking of her sanity.

Hypocrite....maybe??? Satisfied.....completely!!!!

New Blog Name

Sooo... I have heard from a few of you that I should possibly change my blog name to something more to do with our whole family, instead of just King Ben.

Well...I like my name, because pretty much everything in my posts have to do with Ben in some way. But, if anyone can come up with a cute title to do with the Conway's, shoot it on over. I really can't think of a cool blog name at this time, but I will keep racking my brain.

I know it's my blog, and my imagination in which I will make it entirely mine, but seriously I'm not coming up with much..

So after 2 months of trying to figure this thing out, I finally got a picture by my name. Genius...whatcha thing???

SNOWING IN MARCH????

So....this is why I love where I live. Ben and I woke up to the beautiful snow covering the trees and grass. Mommy, wowwwwww!!!!! The snow was falling fast and huge, and gigantic flakes. I still get a rush of excitement like when I was young, and would wait up all nite, so I could run out first thing only with my pajamas and boots to make the first foot step, and feel the flakes on my nose. It's march, yes, the cherry blossoms starting blooming last week, and yes, the snow is falling and landing on them. AND IT'S BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Roaming Cattle Restraunt

This past weekend we were looking for somewhere to go in Tacoma, with great food, drinks, wine and atmosphere. Trying to branch out from the same old, same old. We had never been to El Gaucho's, soo...the plan was to try them out. Well our friends we would be having dinner with heard about this NEW Place called ASADO. An Argentinian themed resturant. Some may have already heard of it, but it was new to us.http://www.thenewstribune.com/soundlife/food/story/5465229p-4931396c.html

So, those of you who know me pretty well, I am not very open minded and had a rush of panic come over me about the fine cuisine of Argentina. OMG what was I in for, it was rather frightenening. I didn't want to be a stick in the mud, and was let in on a little secret that it all had to do with STEAKS, STEAKS., and more STEAK. Hence, the roaming cattle thing. I threw my ignorance of geography, and fine dining in foreign countries out the window, and said oh, what the hell, can't go wrong with fine cattle.

It was absolutely scrumpscious, Fried banana chips, a steak in this wonderful sauce, and purple mashed potatoes. Yummmmmmmmyyyyy!!!! And to end the evening with fried bananas, choc sauce, and vanilla bean icecream. No complaints on the food, music, drinks, (just the noise level) A little hard to hear, pretty much had very little voice as we stepped outside, but all in all a great nite of food, friends, and a little bit of freedom from the rushed dinners with Ben....

Weekend of Lovin, Touchin, and Learnin...

Last weekend Alan and I had a little mini Lovefest up in Leavenworth. We were there to attend a marriage retreat to re-connect, re-learn, and re-discover our relationship on marriage. When people in the past have ever mentioned marriage retreats, encounters, marriage whatevers, I was always a bit skeptical thinking how silly they always sounded. Actually it really was quite the opposite, it was very insightful, and really taught us alot about communication and patience with each other. Marriage is really difficult sometimes, if we had nothing else to deal with besides us; meaning no money arguements, disagreements on kids, jobs, and just life in general, hey it would always be a kick in the hay. Not in the real world, we have real life problems, and situations we are always dealing with. I really did reconnect with my hubby, and learned a little in the process. It was a good weekend, and our arguements seem to have subsided, and are minimal ....hey that leaves me happy, and hopefully that makes everyone else connected to us happier too.

Football, Baseball, Soccer...it's my everything!!!

When it comes to any sporting events... Ben is a crazy fanatic about them already. Ben has been to more sporting events in this past year than I ever had before turning 30 something...He really loves our Seattle teams and supports them with all his heart and soul. In this pic he's actually getting ready to head to a Sonics game with his daddy and friends. I really use to love going to the games, but now I look at the guy time with Ben and daddy as my "OMG I get the house all to myself for the next 3 hours Whooo Hooo!!!Posted by Picasa

Let sleeping dawgs Lie

More like a sleeping cute, cuddly little boy.... This was not the picture of cuteness 2 hours ago... We decide it's getting to late to try and cook dinner, and Ben is eyeing the potato chip bag with eyes of a savage...so we head of for something to eat. Dinner goes pretty well considering it was getting kind of late. We head for the door to leave, Ben asks "Balloon Pleeeeeeease!!!" No problem, he picks himself out a cool blue one. So we start out the door to leave, and daddy asks the most unreasonable question in the world. "Ben, could you please put your coat on?" No problem or argueing from his mouth as long as the balloon does not get taken from his hand only to slip his arm in his coat sleeve for a quick milisecond.

Well he flew into a full blown rage, throwing himself down on the floor and screaming his lungs out. Back when I had no kids of my own, back in the day when I had NO CLUE!!! I use to say to myself and anyone around me, when seeing a child behave this way "Oh, no way, my child will never act that way, I won't allow it." Well allowing it really didn't play into this story. It was to late and already happening. I really could have died of embaressment right there in the middle of this establishment, not that is was really fine dining, they have balloons for the kids, soo...that really wasn't the issue. The people around us just kept staring as if watching a circus act or something. I just kept shooting looks of "Hey take a picture it will last longer" When in reality I really wanted to huck Ben's tippy cup right at there staring faces...

Learned lesson from this crazy act of rage from my child, I will never be so...judgemental of others in how they may or may not be raising their youngins...We are good parents, and try to teach our child as best we can, yet they have their own minds, thoughts, and emotions which they are learning to use everyday. It is just our job in trying to show them the right way, in the midst of their wrong doings.

Ben did not get to have his balloon back ,it went nighty, nite in the car. He was over it in probably the same milisecond it took to put his coat on, and would have gotten the balloon back to play with. And moments from that he was asleep in our bed, like the little angel I soo...adore.

Imagine Bush being out there...Oh, wouldn't it have been great. I guess he's escaped his destiny once more. Probably better watch his back if he plans on doing any quail hunting in the future, especially with his 1st Mate.

A Mother's Love...

This morning I woke up like any other day; a little tired, not yet quite a wake, and a little cold too, as the heat was not yet on in the house. I was doing my usual morning things, getting ready to greet my daycare kids, and cleaning up the house a little of Ben's toys cluttering the floor, and straightening up things here and there.
I had a really strong feeling of happiness ,as I was doing my daily rountine. The sun had just starting shining thru the window, and a little whisper came over me, "Thank goodness the rain has gone, what a beautiful day, huh..." A smile came to my face. My mom was making herself heard somewhere in my thoughts. She stayed and sat with me as the kids were arriving, and Ben had woke up, and the kids starting playing their musical instruments with such strong delight, first thing in the morning.
Such a beautiful day, nothing sounded better to me than a pretty bouquet of daisies, and a shared moment with my mom at her grave site. This had been my first time going to see her since her passing last September. Thoughts of her are in me often, but something was pulling me to go the cemetary to see her, and give her the daisies. I went to the area of her grave, and starting searching, and searching....and searching. Oh, it was beautiful out, but so...cold. I hate to admit it, but after still searching for a bit, I cursed, it just slipped out. I felt ashamed, to have cursed among everyone, but human I am, and it happens.
Still no sign of the plot, I called my brother, and wanted to know, "What the heck, where is mom's stone at?" He was not aware of there not being one also. He said "Wow , strange that you decided to go out there of all days, I had a dream about mom last nite. She was talking to me, I can't tell you what we talked about, but she was definatlely talking to me."
I headed over to the cemetary office to get to the bottom of the missing stone. It had all been pre-paid and picked out, but actually never ordered to be made, at the time of her passing.
Everything had just starting making sense to me as the days events have unraveled, my mom had I do beleive ,been trying to get us to take notice that she was missing a stone(that had already been paid for) and really thought it was time that it be put over her, and she had her name amongst everyone.
Some of you may think this sad, or in bad taste to post on my blog. But to me this has been a very happy and glorious day. It has shouwn me a mother's love is so strong with her children, she will always be able to communicate in so many ways to make sure all is well with them in the world, and as they should be ,even after they pass. I know my bond is so strong between my kids and myself, and that bond was just as strong with my mom and her children, her presence in me today, gave me great comfort, and a smile that I cannot seem to shake. And never want to ....

Movie Mania...

I just have to say; this is the first year I actually have almost seen all movies up for an oscar this year. Capote, Brokeback Mountain, and Crash, so far...two more to go. And I was pretty impressed by all of them so far.

Capote which I saw yesterday, was really good, I had no idea what a crazy man he was, and his part was played brilliantly.

Brokeback Mountain. Wow!!! I really liked it, but am still taken back by it, and not sure what to think. I am very liberal, but had a hard time seeing a few things I guess I just wasn't ready for, even though I thought...hey nothing can surprise me these days.

And Crash, well it just made me sad. And really brought me to alot of realization that goes on right under my nose.

So Goodnite, and Goodluck and Munich are the two left to see, and I really don't have alot of interest in either, but I'll get into the theatre to seem em, hopefully soon.

I think my next movie in this movie mania is going to be "Curious George" What do ya think, could it have a shot at it next year????

RAIN, RAIN ,PLEEEEAASSEE, GO AWAY!!!!

So....I thought doing a little daydreaming would work.

This was not the greatest of weekends, and truthfully I said to myself a few weeks ago, well this rain won't get me down, what a great opportunity to get alot of unfinished things I have going on, projects, cleaning ect... done. I will take advantage of this time. I lied, no really ,I must have been lying to myself and to along with others. This rain is depressing. I am actually going out of my mind at times, not being able to soak up some good old hot sunshine..Liquid sunshine, ah, won't do it.

Ben has been sick this past week, well let me tell you, he got his energy back . I think it started friday nite, and that kid was bouncing off walls the whole weekend. He was into everything he shouldn't have been. We really tried to be good parents and play with him, amuse him, and go along with his crazy, energetic mood. Let's face it ,the grey days made us cranky and tired.

At one point last nite ,let's see probably about 6pm, Alan yells in to me and says" Hey, have you heard of any kindof schools they may have on the weekends for kids Ben's age???"

He was kidding of course, but I think his brain had, had just about enough of Goodnite, Moon.,I love you this much, oh, and every other book in his basket. Along with throwing the football around the house, and at Alan's face several times.

Well I will keep this picture in mind, and keep daydreaming for the day the sun peaks out, dries everything up, and I hear the laughter of my son's voice screaming thru the yard.Posted by Picasa

MOMMY, MORE PAIN RELIEVER, PLEASSSSEEE...

We're barely into the new year, and low and behold Ben has yet another ear infection, so here we are again on another dose of antibiotics, and sleepless nites. Oh, the joys of Daycare, all the little bacteria camps out on our doorstep, and tag Ben has been hit again. They say this will just make him a stronger fighter on colds and flues as he enters school, ya right, we shall see... Posted by Picasa
